What an honor and a blessing! Baseball's All-Stars gathered on the field before Tuesday night's game at Dodger Stadium to honor Rachel Robinson on her 100th birthday. Rachel Robinson is known for her advocacy against housing discrimination. According to the Los Angeles Times, she kept working in nursing until Jackie Robinson’s death in 1972. She later founded a construction company that built affordable housing. Jackie Robinson died in 1972 and his No. 42 was retired throughout the major leagues in 1997.
