It looks like Miley Cyrus has already moved on from her split with Kaitlynn Carter.
The "Slide Away" singer was spotted getting very friendly with her longtime friend Cody Simpson while at a Los Angeles restaurant on Thursday (October 3). In a video obtained by TMZ, the two were shown having a "pretty serious conversation before Miley moved over to sit on his lap." Shortly after, the friends kicked their PDA up a notch by having a full-blown make-out session.
As fans know, Miley and Cody have been friends for years. While they were rumored to be dating back in 2014, Cody shot down relationship rumors in an interview in 2015, saying they were "just mates." He additionally called Miley the "coolest girl" he'd met in LA and said she was one of his "best friends." At the time, the Australian model and singer was linked to then-up-and-coming model Gigi Hadid.
News of Miley's possible new coupling comes just weeks after she called it quits with her girlfriend of one month, Kaitlynn, who, like Miley, was coming off a break-up from her husband Brody Jenner. Kaitlynn and Miley started dating shortly after Miley's split from her husband Liam Hemsworth. The 29-year-old Australian actor filed for divorce back in August, citing "irreconcilable differences," a week after Miley's rep released a statement about their split.
Following their split news, photos surfaced of Miley kissing Kaitlynn, during the ladies' group vacation in Lake Como, Italy. Shortly after, Liam broke his silence on the split, captioning an Instagram photo of a sunset: "Hi all Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love."
